Infront Germany remains marketing partner and will continue to support the races at Iffezheim with its core competencies

Iffezheim, Germany / Zug, Switzerland, 22 December 2012 – Dr. Andreas Jacobs, through Niantic Holding AG, has acquired the majority shares of Baden Racing GmbH, operating company of the Iffezeim race course from Infront Germany GmbH with immediate effect. The German branch of the international sports marketing company Infront Sports & Media remains the exclusive marketing partner of the horse racing events.

Dr. Andreas Jacobs has – as President of Baden Racing e.V. and acting Chairman of the Infront Board – been closely involved in the project since Baden Racing was formed in 2010, contributing his extensive knowledge and experience of international horse racing on an on-going basis. The ownership structure of Baden Racing is now as follows: Niantic Holding AG (Hamburg), DSV Deutscher Sportverlag GmbH (Cologne), Stars and Friends GmbH (Bad Harzburg) and weiss media GmbH (Meerbusch).

Dr. Andreas Jacobs said: “The change in the ownership structure has no effect on the operational business and long-term goals of Baden Racing. The Iffezheim race track is on a successful course which is steering a positive direction for the future. As majority shareholder, Infront has contributed significantly to the thriving start of Baden Racing and will continue to stay aligned as marketing partner for the horse race meetings. The extensive expertise in the areas of flat racing, betting, event management and marketing is retained with the new structure. With this foundation, and the experienced team led by Dr. Benedict Forndran, Baden Racing is well prepared for its third business year.”
